Dr. Erin McCarty
Veterinarian
Dr. McCarty received her undergraduate degree in genetics from UC Davis in 2004. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, with honors, from UC Davis in 2010. Prior to receiving her veterinary degree, she spent 16 years working as a veterinary technician, equines and small animals, gaining invaluable experience along the way. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with an emphasis on preventative care and forming strong veterinarian-owner-patient bonds. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband on their small family farm, horseback riding, playing pickleball, playing volleyball, and spending time with her horses— Salsa and Tango, dwarf Nigerian goats—Fancy, Fiona, Gidget, Jiminy, and Cricket, Golden Retriever—Sebastian, and cat—Pickle.
Beth Burrell
Veterinary Assistant
Beth is a dedicated veterinary assistant with over 25 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, she has have had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of animals and helping them lead healthy and happy lives.
In addition to my work in the veterinary field, Beth is also a proud parent of two adult children and a loving caregiver to four dogs and three cats. She hase a passion for animal rescue and has fostered dozens of kittens, as well as rescued numerous furry and feathery friends in need.
One of the most rewarding aspects of Beth’s job is educating and assisting clients in providing the best possible care for their beloved pets. I take great pride in helping both animals and their owners navigate the world of veterinary medicine and ensure that every furry friend receives the love and attention they deserve.
Beth am grateful to be a part of such a fulfilling and rewarding profession, and is excited to continue making a positive impact in the lives of animals and their families for many more years to come.

Veterinary Assistant
Hi everyone! My name is Makenna and I am so excited to be working with Dr. Mccarty as a veterinary assistant! I am currently going to school to become a veterinarian and looking forward to all the exciting learning opportunities to come. I’ve always been interested in the veterinary field because I love taking care of animals and helping them in any way I can. They are such a joy to have in our lives and I couldn’t imagine a life without them in it! I am looking forward to helping other pets feel better and learning from Dr. McCarty! 🙂
Cory Hamma
Practice Manager
Mr. Hamma has always loved animals, growing up with dogs, ducks, turtles, newts, a canary and pet chickens. He received his undergraduate degree in Information Systems Management from UC Santa Cruz in 2003. He has held management, consulting, and security architecture positions at a variety of health-related organizations as part of his Information Security career. In 2023 Mr. Hamma earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) to enhance his business management knowledge and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He enjoys playing pickleball, horseback riding, hiking, theater, and maker hobbies.
